Rion fm's. Lot of manella testudinaris, Pleasant-mills sericeus, Rafinesquina minnesot- ensis, Theptilamma profundum, Lingula, Calymene Homalonotus and Jortelus. There are probably other things. All in all the horizon is atmr Black- Rion time. This is a great find since no one has hertofore gotten any fossil out of it. I could see more 18" atme the Highgate li, contact, and all because of the decided schistosity. The contact between the Highgate limestone and Beajia was seen in five different places in atmr one fouth mile along the strike N.-S. It cuts across different levels of the Higfgate limestones. The highgate slates seen in the Minisiquoi range must lie below or to the west of them. Over my Beed mountains and Chagz fords are seen in the Dravton conglomerate, this appears to show that neither of these serie was de- posity in this area. Of course they are present in the Champlain tmp't. In at least three places we saw in hollows of the Highgate limestone conglomerate comprised of the High- gate limestones. Neither was the thickness as much as one foot, followed by the Beajia slate.
