Monday Sep. 18-1922. Highgate Center Started out at 8.30 for the little shale quarry in the creek [illegible] formation, about one mile N.W. of Highgate Center. C3246 Black Shales at Milton with Dictyoceras, about 3 feet can be seen. These shales like those of Parkes Quarry. Sandy dark blue shales with many very thin lenses of rounded grain sandstones from [illegible] thickness to 2 inches. Thickness about 10 feet. No fossils. Intraformational dolomite from 6 to 18 meters Rounded pebbled heavy bedded dolomitic sandstone. About 45 feet thick. Has angular pieces of the thin folded dol. from the lagoon below. Thin bedded dsl. with Lepernaemia tucnica, about 12 to 66 meters. See above at X From the Milton thick bedded massive Milton dsl. The above is on the east side of road. In the road cutting lies the west of the Colchester from 200 to 500 feet thick, On the other side of the road is a slice of Mallett dol. showing about 250 feet of thickness. Then went north to the farm cross-road going east across the High- gate about 13/4 miles N.W. of Highgate Center. Crossed the thin bedded limestone but got only [illegible] about
