St Albans, July 10-1922. Monday.
Left St. Albans at 8.50 A.M. for Rutland in Octra Dales car. We then go on to Bridgeton from Junction once Octra Innkeeper leaves for Springfield, Mass., and then home to be married in about ten days. Dales then goes home. Keith will take out storage his car and he and I will return to the Burlington region to see the Billston limestone and search for fossils. He got to Rutland at 3 P.M., having gone 103 miles.
From St. Albans we went south to Milton, Grinnell near Burlington, Dart Vermont Univ., in Burlington, driving to Bristol where we had dinner at a good hotel. The drive from Burlington to Bristol is fine, and it is worth while to consider some time of resting here at Bristol. The Railway takes me to New Haven and here there is a small branch line to Bristol.
At about 1.30 we start south and go via East Middlebury, Lake Champlain, Brandon (once the Petro-Stone finds come from), Puttland and Rutland. Here Keith took out of storage his car left since last October. It was 5.30
