At Russell's ledge the design is either higher or
lower, and it is probably the latter.
To me this evidence looks like a break
between the Millton and the Colechester.
Reith therefore now regards the Lower Cam-
brian of northern Vermont as made up of Minton
quartzite (300'+), Windsor marble (400'), Mal-
et dol. (700-800), and Colchester formations
(clay, sandstone and dol., 200-250). = 1700' in all.
The upper Cambrian - Lariatogan is now
made up of Minton dol (500'), Highgate limestone
and slate (300'), Shell town marble (200-400')
and Williston limestone (500) = 2000' more.
The Beclmontton begins with the Laranter
argilmarate (30') and Bengia slate (3000') =
3530' in all.
