is nothing at all in Prof. Richardsons 'tramway' 'complement'. Then started out for a long drive to get To the west side of the Green Mts. Went via Craftsbury, Hyde Park, Manistville and Johnson. Here it was raining and were more the roads were bad down the valley of the Lamoine and we turned back to Manistville and then on to Watervly. Thence down the valley of the Winoski to Essex and then north to Milton, once we stopped for night. It is not raining in the Champlain Valley. We drove about 140 miles today. About 70 miles was crested since here at Milton we were told that people had successfully won the direct roads to Manistville.
