5/26/95 left Beechmont / Withamsville - took I 275 to US 27, heading into Kentucky. (@ Highland H42, $1.25 lunch) Followed road log of Meyer & Tobin (1981) Stop 1. Ky 9 route 2 1/2 miles S of Alexandria at intersection with US 27 Picked up Ky. Near Meldahl Rock & Dam, Ky side 45 Hol + old X on south side of Ky 8 at junction with Ky 1109. Old X at intersect. 63 ft Point Pleasant - no top or bottom contact in this X. 1 B+W photo of old X face. Greater thickness of shale intervals in lower 2/3 of X face: But ~50 yds west on Hwy 8, there's a new X face that shows considerably greater thickness than stated by Meyer & Tobin (1981)
