5/20/95 locality of Hay, Pope & Frey (1981) Bonwell Hill, Indiana. 1/2 road atop mile NE Brookville & 1/ mile east of road into dam spillway. 1 photo B+W Liberty Stop of Waynesville cut on west side of road at top of exposure. Indiana 101 road cut. large bivalve ca 3" across, strong radial ribbing Platystropha Strange "calcified algal outline" = hash of brachiopods - forms distinctive layer perpendicular to bedding plane (up on end?) + weathering pattern 2 photos B+W 1/2 the way down cut. Hay, Pope & Frey unit 3A is graded beds with iron oxide stains, phosphite (?) and new brown yellow weathering to fresh sporgyl calc. cements, 5/20/95/G.
