CR saw 2' foot diameter colony of
ramose LEP; branch diam ca 1cm;
no monticules. This was a huge
float block in river bed at
bottom of creek, just upstream from
bridge ("new" bridge). Old bridge
has been removed
(see Wgass & Perry locality 16 which is up stream to North)
We took some float samples
to see if they approximated to
collection sites in 1963 so we
would have an orientation
on where we were in old road
sect section). Coll. 5/19/95A - F. Coll 5/19/95G
was float in roadway gravel.
rate is a bluish-green-grey;
v. nodular bedding; v. diverse
fauna & extensive burrowing
at bottom of creek, late more
thickly bedded incl. calcarenite
bed 2' at least 1 1/2 feet
Interstate 70 - 14 miles E of Ohio line - maca
LSE - good road section
