5/14/95. 4 1/2 miles E of Chaffield on State Hwy 30, roadway cut on State Hwy 74 - see section below), about 1/2 mile W of Troy, 1/4 mile W of junction of Highways 30 & 74 (Maybe 5 miles from Chaffield) [See Sgm outcrop section for ref.] Top of Lower Glenwood shale is irregularly eroded. Up "Mifflin" nodules l.s. Mifflin is thrughly burned has fossil molds in a fused, nodular limestone. (8) Ruttwell blocky weathering probably gets into base of Carbondale Mbr. conform surface at +/- 5'2" sveral conform surfaces now gone. 6/12/98 4 photos including Diabase sutured at top burns in grain with limited ls total. - greens 2" yellow ls. E. Oxide ? 5 ft. too We then returned to Hwy 30 & east to Rushford. At Rushford village we stopped at Conoco Station. Took Hwy 43 south to Mabel, then Hwy 144 east to Spring Grove. About 3 miles W of Spring Grove there are 2 working
