Mustkee, Thursday, March 27-1919. Stayed at 6 A.M. and at 7:30 we found we could not get an auto for a half day under $15, or concluded to abandon the trip. Then loaded three from 4 jars and shipped them via express; charges $6.92 Left on the "Katy Flier" at 5:15 P.M., 40 minutes later, At Vinita we were held up by a small wreck ahead. Katy Flier, Friday March 28-1919 The "Katy Flier" is not flying today. Instead of arriving at St. Louis at 8 A.M., one must to arrive until noon. I was anxious if we will catch the New Yorker at 12:02 P.M. We arrived at 11:15 A.M. and found my home berth waiting for me. Had to pay for berth, extra fare and down taxes $8.76. The "New Yorker" is flying right along and we fare better roundaway than anything to the north or south. He arrives time right day. Had dinnering most of the day and got to my berth at 8 P.M.
