continue - large Schism.
8/3/58/5 - due S., Section 24 in
folded and faulted belt. This is
from an ant hill 50 yds southy road at
cresty Hill.
1k + 2k pect of Sect 24
A large fold line at base, Sect 24 has
its axis N65° E & dips 90°, West but
is 60-80° W.
N see p.22 - I doubt very much if the
rept collections are from the same
sequence as the inducted sections.
These broken seem to form beds
in the folded + faulted portion and
are there for older than the "Worceup"
superimpose a "Worceup" sequence.
8/3/58/5 - from "Haymond" of King below
1½ W. & gap S. of Summit Dugout Mt.
This is on an ant hill about 30 yds E.
of the junction of two major washes.
Seems to contain Fusulina
1/3
8/3/58/6 - float from shale intervals above
binder just below 1st W. & gap S. of
cresty Dugout Mt.
8/3/58/7 - fire broken (in place?)
at least from the root, beds seem to
be shattered - These are probably
faulted/folded prior to "Worceup" time.
Probably not - has 2 outlets.
Berlem - has several corals, and at least
one ammonite.
8/2/58/8 - 2nd Berlem - smaller but
commonly vertical - corals & a few
brachyzoa.
8/3/58/9 - Needles Payne Wells about
½ mile N.E. of Spot King has several
ammonoid beds - This is "faylock"
a 1st is a black grey to black lst & black
threaded shale -
The general impression I get in the field
from just looking at the junctions and the
lithology, is that they go as rocks are
of period in the eastern most outcrops
around the 2nd cret. of Dugout Mts.
