Section 23.

oll. 8/13/57/3 - about 20' higher than 8/13/57/1 in
bed #3.
oll. 8/13/57/4 - from New Camps outcrop;
King's section 23
These an fairly high in the flex but seem to
represent the coarsest occurrence of these facies.
The coal 8/13/57/4 seems to contain both reworked
older grainlines and these finelines in the
sand size matrix.

Two Forest Oil Co. geologists out of Medallion,
Mr. Dollinger (Dy) and Mr. Harding, who
are under Mr. Wayne Moore, came to
study the oil possibilities in the Mount
Walker Ranches. They jumped me for
information quicker I'm afraid I have
relatively little at this time. They said
that Mr. Moore had agreed to allow me
on his ranch and that they believed
they could get logs and samples from a
number of wells to the N. I said I would contact them later.
This year after talking to C.O.D about
the subsurface angle. Their interest
here is a 2-year affair so they may
have some pretty seriously thoughts
toward a study. Their primary objective
seems to be: 1) Stratigraphic placement of
or erosion truncation of any camps;
2) Finding some type of Bee Box structure
beneath it all. They had hopes of some
stratigraphic cut wells but not for
some time yet. They hope that if the
low box can be worked out, the first step
toward understanding the Late Penn
will be made.
