59 19 Section 19 [see p.67] 7/6/57 [VIII] Section 1 - low hills to west of Wolfinghill. The line of section runs due north. Covered below 1) Calcareute, pebbles 1 1/2" to 2" max, Calcaren sand matrix + Calc care cement. Fossilizing (Crinoids + Foraminifers), bedding 1' to 1 1/2' feet. Flat top 4 1/2' gray fresh, light yellow brown weathering 2) Covered 5 1/2' probably shale or weakly cemented rubble 3) Calcarenite, w/a few small pebbles, foraminifer big up as crinoids common. Quartz sands in up part, 18", flat top. yellow and brown weathering 4) Covered 17', probably shale + 1 or 2 calcareunit calc (less than 4 to 6" thick). 5) Calcarenite, brown weathering, some quartz sand 8" thick 59 7/6/57/3 7/6/57/2 7/6/57/1 100m 6) Calcarenite, gray-brown weathering, shell laths, foraminifer, crinoids, + traces. Inner part of unit is a whole which grades into a ls rubble, then into a well sorted frag. ls. Upper surface is planed flat. Total 5' 7) Covered 8' - gray shale + some salty calcareunit 8) Calcarenite, well graded mud sand, a few foraminifers (laminas) and ulen joints of crinoids - several beds in a 4' interval 9) Covered 16'. The lower 20 feet is probably mostly blue-gray shale. The upper 15' probably mostly ls rubble.
