The fusulines in -4 are possibly weathered out from lower Larijara and redeposited in pockets in the reef facies. C.D.D. believes there are at least superficially similar to those of collection -3. The contact between the massive clay forming and the underlying could be either a cut surface or an eroded surface-- The way the lower ls units in the siltstone seem in rout would suggest a facies change and not a great unconformity right at the base of the Hess Lodge.
