Remsen, J.V. 1972 Journal Hoary Redpoll 1- Drum Area Lemmings: 5 site 1 Predators: Pair of Pomarines seen going through a lemming tugging bout after which they bowed to each other at least 5 times each. Longspurs: Checked nests and took activity records 0840-1240. Two of 10 nests found predated (3/10 total now). Shorebirds: 4 Buffies flying together on two occasions, one AM and one 2045. Bursts of H-displaying and wing-flashing at 2045 among the 4 birds. One vertical helicopter display seen with F.A.P. One possible female noted: seemed smaller but (unlike females) seemed to have more breast spotting - pectorals still hoots.
