Remsen, J.V. 1972 Journal Lemmings: Brown Lemming 13 Collared Lemmings 1 (captured- IBE) Predators: 2 Pomarine Jaegers apparently setting up territories on IBE area. Observed making nasal cackling sound, foraging together over the area, driving away Glacous Gull. One caught lemmings while sitting on the ground. 4 more seen moving NE. 4 light Parasitics foraging together, landing SW of IBE. 3 Long-taileds moving E. over IBE no owls Migration: Sabinels Gulls and Arctic Terns seen moving inland for the first time Longspurs: Reeds Time-activity + traplines at IBE from 1060-1115, 1345-1700, 1915-2045, NARL Point Barrow Alaska 14 June Location: IBE sites 1,7 to Britton area Times: 0825-1200, 1510-1700 Wind: 20-30 mph, depressing bird activity Temp: 35 Sky: overcast Ground: clear
