Remsen, J.V. 1972 Journal Lemmings 3 at IBP site Predators 30 Pomarine Jaegers moving NW in flocks of 12 (2 dom, one of which appeared not to have the twisted rectrice) 6 5 2,2,2,1 2 Snowy Owls : 1 ♂, 1 unknown: sitting on snow about 1/2 mile S. of IBP site Longspurs: hunted for nests, 2200-0100 with Tom Custer (TWC). Found one with 2 eggs. Shown another found previously near Britton site by TWC with 4 eggs. Males singing vigorously. Density low according to TWC Shorebird courtship: Semipalmated Sandpipers and Punlins both giving flight songs frequently. One Pectoral inflating chest. Curlew Sandpipers apparently paired. Phalaropes frequently engaged in chases, usually involving three birds. Migration: no obvious migration noted other than jaegers noted above
