Remsen, J.V. 1972 Journal by only one adult. S. Village Ridge Golden Plover Nest : 3 young in nest, banded and weighed : 18.7, 19.3, 19.6 g. Both adults present. One juvenile Dunlin seen which could fly well (unbanded in Voth Slough). Two flying juvenile Pectorals were also seen (unbanded in Voth Slough). A group of 12 apparent juveniles (very buffy chested) seen at Voth Creek at Site 1, all unbanded; they were definitely Semipalmated, and not Bairds - I got very close. This is the first real group of Semipalmated I've seen. Migration: 3 loons overhead. 12 juvenile Semipalmateds in flock at Site 1. Location: Point Barrow, Buck Camp to tide gauge.
