Long-taileds moving in all directions (8,3,12,1). Snowy Owl in high polygons of site 1 for three days in a row. Longspurs: Vegetation transects on Site 1 0900-1200. Feeding records 1915-2100. Shorebirds: Caught two banded Semipalmated Sandpipers on NE corner site 1, 5.0 and 4.9g (data to Saffriel). Dunlin still displaying. Migration: Red-throated Loon → N, Arctic Loon → S, 4 Pomarine Jaegers → E. Location: Point Barrow with Larry Goldstein, Jeff Myll, Tom Leywe, Fred Cole, Scott Kronberg. Time: 1430-1445 Water: Open for 3/4 mile from shore!
