Baltimore. About here
I saw the first clear minute
southerly birds, 4 Bizzards
sailing lazily about.
The sand has now become
grey & white, and it looks
odd to see strawberry
plants growing in it.
Some patches of clay
yet appear. I have
seen a few patch-jules (?)
but the short-leaf is in-
creezing
The surface here is a
fine sediment, much as
at the "neck" but where
streams have cut down
there are boulders, so I
think the glaciers reached
here in early times. It may
be of course they were brought
by ice.
