with local Fe stane impreg layers 5.5 Partially covered. Dug holes show gray paper shale, and silty shale at base. Also 0.5 lignitic sh 4.0 + 4.15+ from top. 0.5 - 1.0 Sandstone. Single massive bed, ripple mkd surface loc. Fine-grained, weather yellowish gray. Crops out in long dipslope along sides of canyon N of road - to which point section is offset. Here it is overlain by 10+ silty siltstn + shale then about 0.5 of Fe impreg sandy silt full of plant crusts. On hill crest + dipslope large blocks of an Fe redded channel sand up to 2.0 thick rest on this layer Offset to S side canyon N of road in local bedlznds of upper U2a zone. - Continuing up from top of unit above. 8
