bszl 1.5 Fc impreg red to pink and containing interbeds dark grey silty shale. top is locally a fairly massive bed, beneath it about 2' dominantly sandy shale with thin interbeds ss. Offset At the Gossage monument rechecked the Lakota silt thickness from top of massive SS's of 1955 such A, to the then SS at the crest of the monument. On cliff slope no top to the Lakota silt is exposed near this section, but probable that thickness measured here is very close to total. Downclimb from Gossage hill in ravine to S, Very few claystones and thin SS lenses come in under the Lakota silt. No good place for measurement, appear to be like those in offset of 1955 A. Because of strikingly different Lakota S of this ravine, postulate fault NNE
