Claystone, silty, grading down to
slightly clayey siltstone in basal
2 or 3 feet. Clstn is light gray but
thoroughly stained red and pink,
spherulitic from top to base-and
on into top underlying unit.
Grades to unit above very rapidly
but with no apparent sharp
break.

gray with some purplish
mottling and scattered spherulites
No sharp break at top, but change within inch

with crab flocks. Blocky to subconch,
fracture, weathers light pinkish gray
