barren blue-gray interior, weath white. (10) 10.0 Clayey siltstone becoming shaly in upper part. Dk gray, weathers light gray. Grades to unit above. (11) 10.5 Shale silty to very silty, some Fe stain on shaly partings & Limonite stain in crevices. Grades upward to unit above shaley (12) 5.5 Siltstone & silty shale, blocky to poorly fissile. Gray with ferruginous stain; (13) 1.0 ± Concretionary layer. Zone, locally persistent. Cones of limestone, bluish gray inside, white, locally red bru stain, with pizzle-like markings on surface. Chiefly unfossiliferous, but in one small sp. of Sphenodusius. (Sample KW-2) & others (2Betc. (14) 5.2 Siltstone, clayey, gray, as being underlying beds. Weathers gray to light gray.
