Bluffs on Whitehorse road. Locality I Measuring from base bluff of Trail City (1) 16.5 Dark grey clay shale at base grading upward into silty clay sh and argill. Siltstone, latter in bands & irrey. patches with brownish Fe stain. Lower 5.0 is chiefly shale, silty stuff above weaths to popcorn crust but no vis. bentonite. At top - upper OIBT Zone barren ls cones, grey weath with gray white to pinkish r' rinds. Assoc. with or somewhat within about 2' below these are scattered D. nicolletti cones. All on crop have been raped. Unit weathers grey in contrast to light brownish gray of still later beds above. (2) 4.0 Silty gray & dk gray thickly shale and clayey silt, mottled Fe stain. Weaths light brownish gray. Zone barren ls cones in upper lot similar to those in zone below. 23
