Herpes-Sultan locality Canyon W. of Whitewood Slide cut at A.-Brownworth ss at base may be in zone ss above ostraced shell. Assuming this so it is approx. 25 feet to base of white worth, siltstone ledge. In this interval chiefly wezy, blocky to subcanch. claystone gray, greenish and chiefly purplish red. Peak about 14' of silt exposed has local fine gr ss and blocky resistant beds as well as more clayey crumbly stuff that goes to slope. Locally lower part has shely lenses, or lmin. clstu, in which Bell found ostraccds. Color of these is also mottled pinks (8-11-1, 2+3of-Greg Sohn - at X-2) grays + brownish gray.
