Locally at 18' from top is Nicollti conc in piece same type as those in 5.0-8.0 zone Unit is irreg, bedded with pidsofthis+that (3) 7.0 Clayey olive gray siltstone with minor OB Fe stain in joints. weathers to light, almost peevly grey, contrasts with unit below. Chief change is uniformity and lack of the irong splatches (4) 18.0 Slopecwash, upper 7.0 is vfg, lite yellow brn-weath frizzle ss of typical Fox Hills type. From 7 to 10 ft from top zone rb weath concs, same brown but others similar but not def. tied to this zone are germaniferous (Loc I Sect sample 1) At top is zone large bevrcl rb. + gray weath concs that form cap of butte. These are 0.5-0.8 thick but may.be 57
