Second Day traverse (Aug 19) Up Main Gully. Scaphite conchs in float and septarian layers associated with upper sand bed interval. From one in place it is 8.7' to base Collignonierus ledge. Scaphites are in base Septaria in shell hash with much wood. Collign. remains too. Conchs very in Scaphid fossil content. From Collignonierus ledge to pevsist layer large between conchs to E 14 greasy slope is about 16 or 17 I strike Gulley B- Section at scaphite conc. Gulley Bottom ① 5.0 Slebbly thinly bedded SS, Shale pfing, Scaphido conch in place 3.0 - 3.6. Sandy septaria light yellow chalkite dk to lite blue gray. Fossils in bottom pzt only ② 1.0 Chiefly sandy shale ③ 3.6 As in ① 6
