SP Myers 1978 Nyctea scandiaca Barrow, N. Slope Borough, Alaska 31 May scanning horizon from Garline Road found 8 Nyctea including 3 displaying f (flight and Dracula-display with Lemmus in bill) and one & looking as if on nest. 1 June 2 nests - one with 2 eggs one with 3. 3 June 3rd nest observed (♂ carrying Lemmus to ♀ in butterfly flight, ♀ obviously incubating) but too far away to be confirmed. 5 June 2 insects now have 1 more egg apiece 15 June NS 1 w/ [illegible] eggs; NS 2 w/7. for precise laying schedule so phenology notes
