as much as 1/2 inch. (4) 11.8 Sand with scattered flat oval, CaCO3 cemented concs. of platy X-lm fq-vfy sand with carb frags on bedding; wezth with dk rb surfaces. Unit as whole friable, vfy-fq subgrzywzckse wezth. light gray; chiefly massive with fluted wezth locally but with local zones thin bedding + X-lm. Zone of silty clay; minor sand, fussy about 7.5 to 10.0. This loc. includes large (4.0+) platy brn czlc. conc. Sand loc. includes the "braided zone" - sand coated small claus + worm tubes; also otoliths (see Sample # 4. The zone is continuous through Dumberger locality. Thin OB ferrug layers + little cones here also A648 Sample #45 Fossils + lith. also #5 lith. (5) 8.0 Silt, platy, light gray with brownish czst. Thinly lsm.+bedded wezth Sample brunish gray some Fe stain, little #6 plant stuff in this strll. Some very smooth, may be clayey. friable. (6) 15.0 Interbedded f.q. subgrvate snd and silty to sandy shale, wezths banded light gray with ferrug stoy layers, OB chips of conc. Fe, and 4'2" braided zone
