Transcription
Localities along Fox Hills ridge extending eastward from
Wasserburger Ranch. In secs 17, 18, 19 and 20,
T. 37 N., R. 62 W.
In this area the axis of the North Ant Hills
anticline lies approx. along the east line of the
township, consequently the outcrops in SW cor
sec. 18 show lower part of section (loc. 103) and
those in NW sec 20 and SW 17 (loc. 104) show
upper part. Fairly complete composite section
from Pierre contact well into "banded beds" should
be possible.
Locality 103 - Collected from "Veniella" zone - in other words
the entire massive unit, without discriminating
convection horizons. Transition back to Pierre
include a pyrosite layer or two but no fossils
seen
Locality 104 For convenience in collecting the massive
unit was divided into parts based on the
