Section 2, Measuring up from base of shaly silt in unit 9 of preceding section #1 (1) 23.6 Silty and sandy shale grading upward through clayey sand and silt to vfg sandstone with minor clay. Lower 5' shale gives crazy to sand with irregular shale blocks and irregular layers, chiefly silty shale in lower 2' only. At about 15' from base sand is dominant lith, vfg weathes yellow brown, is slightly clayey. Sample 1 - About 3' from base Sample 2 - About 3' from top. (2) 2.3 Concretion layer - Large, calcareous, brown to CB weath. Jschratid coars with v/zre clam shell fos. Jackets lumpy vfg ss silt, clc. some worm tubes.
