Locality 75. west-facing bluff on Moreau River beginning in SE cor., Sec. 6, T.14N., R.18 E. and extending southwest into NE cor., sec. 7. Red Elm N.W. qzrd, Ziebach Co., So. Dzk. Section # 1 - On north end of cut where lower sandstone is massive cliff-former as well as upper. (1) 39.4 Slump interval from high-water mark of Moreau to bedrock in place on spur. This interval has some large blocks of typical bended-beds, largest and lowermost contains 30 foot succession in which redbrown weather calc. conc. and a few ooliths appear. Cannot be tied in with ledge. Entire interval from river to base unit 3 most likely bended beds. (2) 11.8 Interbedded clayey silt, vfg sand and silty shale in typical bended bed succession. Plant frags. abundant. Beds of shaly clay dk gray when fresh, sandstones light gray. A few sands up to 0.9 locally, some ovoid ls concs in zone 1.5 from top.
