Section #3. (Loc. 74) Taken for chaznul calgate-like sendstone. SE1/4, NW1/4, SW1/4 sec. 33 on SW slope of knob capped by bzzzl ltell Cr. Starts at top sendstone unit 7 of section #1 (1) 18.5 Interbedded silty shale and sand with plant frags on bedding. Weatths with marked gray, bruish gray and light gray bending. Otoliths in flust (2) 2.8 Mixed zone, largely fusible sand with uvvcp, louses silty shale and some carbonccous layers. Locally this unit bleads with unit 3 above and is fluted (3) 39.2 Sendstone, light gray subgray weekto fq cross bedding largely obscured by fluted weatth to steep gray-white faces. Thin layers OB cance festone and stringers + lenses of Corbicula shells indicate cross-bedding. Huge bry weath. is cem. concs. up to 12' long diem, usually long diem vert., are scattered through sand in lower 5.0 to 25.0 Locally X 12m carb layers indicate X bedding, fossils chiefly in lower 1/2 Sample 1 is 5 to 10ft above base, Sample 2 is 4.5 from top. "Clegate" (4) 3.7 Silt, clayey, bru gray hevd with much carb freq. weatths to crustly slope, commonly has OB sfain or small lumpy concs at top. 16
