Locality 73 - Sections on bluffs S. of Moreau between forks of road to Thunder Butte village and the bridge, on I2nd of Henry Redbird 14 Section 1. Measuring up from the big bentonite with cone-m-cone (1) 19.5 Clayey dark gray silt wezths light gray to silver gray (typical Treil City weztth), powdery to popcorn crust. Silt cel evenly distributed. At top is layer of large, lite bru wezth, limestone concs, flat, ovoid with some yellow calcite crck-filling, fractures to angular chunks. (2) 19.0 Silt, clayey, dark gray, gypsiferous in lower 8', becoming brown stained above 8'. At top is zone small (<1') limestone concs, mostly broken but few highly fossiliferous with small Idouevrea, D.nebrascensis etc. Sample 5 is from upper 3' of this interval. (3) 8.6 Silt, clayey, wezths brownish gray. Scattered small calc concs, some fossiliferous. Sample 6 from about 6 to 7.5' above b2sc. Upper 0.6 is bentonitic greenish gray or olive gray clay with red-wezth cone-in-cone seams & concs.
