ATLAS Tires are of such quality that they may be expected to render satisfactory service from date of purchase, for the period specified under usual conditions of wear and tear, as follows: ATLAS BUCRON, CUSHIONAIRE (PLYCRON OR OTHER), and WEATHERGARD Tires are fully guar- teed for eighteen (18) months passenger car service, or nine (9) months commercial car service. ATLAS GRIP-SAFE Tires are fully guaranteed for twelve (12) months passenger car service, or six (6) months commercial car service. ATLAS TRUCK Tires are fully guaranteed six (6) months. The liability of STANDARD OIL COMPANY, an Indiana Corporation, hereunder is strictly limited either to repairing the tire without charge or to replacing it with a new tire of the same grade and size, as indicated above, at its option. If so replaced, purchaser is to be charged and agrees to pay: A sum equal to the current retail price of the tire at the time of adjustment divided by the number of months for which the tire is guaranteed and multiplied by the number of months or fraction thereof which have elapsed since date of purchase. Every tire bearing the name ATLAS and the Atlas serial number is guaranteed to the original purchaser against defects in material and work- manship during the life of the original tread design of the tire to the extent that if any tire fails because of any such defect we will: (1) adjust the tire under the above guarantee or, after the expiration of the period specified (2) repair the tire or make a reasonable allowance on the purchase of a new tire. This guarantee does not cover tires damaged by running fla., punctures, injury by fire, theft, wrecks or collisions, cuts by chains or obstructions on vehicles, or tires used in taxicabs or common carrier bus service, or tubes in any form. This Guarantee and Adjustment Agreement does not cover consequential damages. No agreement or understanding regarding the subject matter of this Guarantee and Adjustment Agreement other than those expressed herein shall be deemed to exist or to bind any of the parties hereto. Alterations or erasures in this Guarantee and Adjustment Agreement will render it void. This Guarantee and Adjustment Agreement must be presented when making claim.
