Notes on sections collected. Timber Lake - appears to become less fossiliferous north of Moreau. Prob, more brackish, as Holymenites comes in - even in canes. Most fossiliferous on Cheyenne-Moreau divide. (Lantry, Eagle Butte) Trail City - Reverse of Timber Lake. Most fossiliferous in Cowson Co. & N.Dak, whereas in Cheyenne-Moreau divide it is apparently grading off into Pierre. This indicates rather definite N-S pattern becoming brackish.
