Mottled gray, ltegray + greenish gray with orange to maroon sizing on fresh surfaces. w/hs yellowish gray, higher Fe concent. in lower 1.5. Inch + Fe impreg.srd 1.5. (2) 3,2 Shale, ddk gray silty to finely sandy with irreg. blobs + laminze of silt; weths gray. Lower 0.5 to 1.0+ is Fe impreg: interlam. Silt-sand layers sh. ptngs. weths red to OB + loc. ferrums crumbly Fe-stained ledge. Shale, carb.plant frags weth purple. (3) 5,0 Shale, silty+ sandy grading within a foot or two to more massive clayey silty sand with pads of clay sand + silt mixed. Considerable shale - really a massive mixture sandy clay + sticky sand.
