Loc = 215 Locality 215 Locality 60A - Reich Ranch, spur between Locality 60 and Loc. 61. Measuring up from toe of spur. (1) 5.0+ Shale, dk grgy to blt, weather flaky, finely silty, brn stain on fracture surfaces, typical Elk Butte lithology. Base in slump (2) 5.5+ Shale as in (1) with concretions top and base + possibly some scht betwn. Concs large, weathered brn & purplish br, break to blocky frags, limestone. 2.5 11.4 (3) 13.9 Shale as in (1), lower layer (creep?) of Febrn ls cones about 3+ above base. (4) 2.4 Clayey silt, blocky, dk grgy to grgy, chte. conc. layer in base - red to redd-brown yellow stained. At top - bontaurtic clay layer with schtrevl cone in conc masses. (5) 9.5 Clayey to shaley silt & silty sh, grgy-dkgr, weather brownish with appearance of layering. 6.3 from base to top is zone of purple brn to red brn weather ls. cones with light gray interiors. (6) 20.5 Interlaved dk-gray silty shaley clay &al brownish, loc. lzm, clayey silt. Scht rb weather cones betwn 6+9 ft from base. At top is very persistent zone of large OB + PR cones with some cone in cone jackets. (7) 13.0 As in (6) above but silty layers becoming 3
