(4) 6.6 Shzlc, hrzd, brownish to reddish gray, lignitic weatheres to purplish gray crumbly locally. irreg. local contact (3) 21.0 Sndy,soft, fq to vfg, lamurated to fine bedded and x (run, loc. weatheres lumpy gray to Olb loc. Has indurated erects, and farming prominent beach on NW can butte slope, just under Hall Creek 1/4' shzlc. In lower 3' some clayey lenses and lignitic streaks, bossed. O.2t is reworked layer of silt and clay chunks from underlying unit. Indurated over is not calcareous (see hand specimen) (2) 1.5 Clzy, gray, finely silty, grading downward to sandy clay and into unit below. (1) 8.0-? Snd, vfg, lem, x lem, with layers lig brn and of gray silty clay, though latter rel vzrc. Snd becomes clayey locally. Note: On S. side butte huge calc. courses come into this Calcite sandy interval with tops 17' below Hall Creek contact and base at 31' on the one measured. 43
