Locality 90 SW facing exposures on ridge, chiefly in NE 1/4, SE 1/4, SE 1/4, sec. 21, T. 14 N., R. 23 E., Lzuty NE, qurd, Dewey Co, so. Dzk. Good exposures from somewhat below Big Sphond layer to small Idouczecz layer. Excellent collecting in T.L. - especially small Idouczecz layers. Section #1 Beginning on top conc. layer that is apparently the barren one above the Protoczecz layer. Conc. layer (1) 1.0 Dark gray silty shale, mostly covered (2) 1.0 Bentonite, olive green, silty. (3) 13.5 Gray silty shale becoming blocky upward, weathers to brownish gray checked surface. At top is zone scattered redbrown wartz is coarse with goldenczelite 10 to 2.0 in diam. Few fossils Nuculana, Sphondiscus freq. (4) 14.8 Interbedded gray clayey silt and dark gray silty shale, former predominates latter in thin partings. Weathers to light brownish gray checked surface in contrast with darker brownish gray weathered surface of lower 10 ft of unit (3). One small red wartz. conc. (is: 3" longd) about 3' from base. (5) 2.8 Gray to dk gray clayey silt with irreg silt blotches and 0.1 to 0.3 layers of derositic silt at base, top and 1.0 from top. Concretions consisting mostly 21
