(5) 25.0 +/- Some weather cream color on surface From cone layer to change from gray to light gray. Part II, From foot of spur (1) 11.0 +/- Shale, brownish gray, somewhat silty covered by popcorn crust. At top is less fissile smwt siltier sh. holding edge of spur. Wtho clt-gray to gray (2) 9.0 +/- Shale, dark gray, slightly silty, weathers gray. Contains settled purple to purple brn weth cones. -- change from gray to light gray (3) 21.5 Shale, silty, weathers light gray. The change in color here is widespread and appears fairly sharp on weathered surfaces. But in trench no break, just fairly abrupt increase in silt streaks, pods + grains. Scatt. pods jerosite from 14 above base (possibly lower) top taken at 0.13. Fe + jerosite band with scath. silty cone-mcare 42
