Loc. 30 Revised section dztz, From several localities in vicinity of section 30. 201 30-H Part I Begins on grassy flat in shale and ascends ① 6.0 Shale gray to dark gray, fissile with local blocky seams. Weaths to gray checked surface under which small silver-gray chips. Non calc. ② 1.0 Hard gray shale with cone-and cone layer, prob. in bentonite or bent. Shale at top. Surface is dark gray popcorn. ③ 10.0 Brownish-gray popcorn on gray shale with brownish cast & purple blue stain. Only loc. popcorn, elsewh brownish -gray checked surface; Gray checked surface on fissile shale with brownish cast. Capped loc. by blue-black ironstone conc., some purple-banish weath. ④ 5.0 4/1
