Rarely fossiliferous but include small Sphenodiscus, big Sphenodiscu Section 2. - Joins above at the 11.6 bentonite. Measuring up towards bentonite --- Layer of scattered limestone cones up to 2' in diam., weath, reddish grey, some golden calcite in cracks Small fauna! (58-22) 9.5 Earthy dark grey, grey, and brownish grey clay, locally somewhat shiny but chiefly blocky, silty through. From 2' above base is brownish weaths to distinctive light brownish grey slope, some pink tinge. Juvosite band 4.5 from base, 6.0 above is bone scattered hard blue-grey ls. cones weath whitish grey- to grey with reddish tinge This unit is siltier in top part which has irreg patches silt. The 1.0 above Juvosite at 4.5 is conc with sepioid. (A 1407) 2
