but Sczright may be right in supposing it a continuous member. Beneath this odd Study part of Fox Hills is a bedded zone that seems to grede to Pierre - but no clearcut exposures seen. On Avance road at cattle quard SE cor. of sec. 27, T.10N., R.15E. some interbedded grzy czlc. shale and vf silt. Shale is good, vfsilty : also highly czlc. vfg szwd+ silt in platy, limuztad layer. Could it be Mobridge? To S. at Cherry Cr. crossing good Pierre with several zones between cones. No fossils found in Pierre here, but cones with golden czlcite like those bearing B."grazdis" in road N.of Fairpoint are sparingly represented in base terrace gravels above the Pierre cuts on N. side Cr. N. from the calc.shale at cattle quard no exposures of anything resembling Fox Hills. Hell Creek-like lithology begins about 3 miles S of what was once Avance.
