Interbedded, dk grey shale, & vfg
sand locally mottled. Shale predominates
weathers to light brownish grey
Unit 2B

As above but sand predominates,
increasingly thicker layers (0.4 to
1.0) as well as thin ones. In upper
4.0 shale occurs chiefly as
partings. Lamination more
pronounced. Locally small x-lam
concs in sand layers. Some
large Nuculzs in Shale-scattered.
Lamination is more irreg. thin-bedding
considerable mixing burrows with
sand in shale.
