in which spec. with valves flattened
common. Fresh samples of latter
show Corbs in excellent state preservation
Thayer's jaws from bed of scattered corbs
about 18" above shingle bed at base
channel. Shingle bed locally
cross-laminated]
Chercozi common throughout the
shingle beds. Crossostrea shells assoc
with channel are markedly thinner than
those of most Colgate beds - several show
attachment to stalks.

Union's locally common to abundant
not only in or at base of lower Colgate-like
sand lenses, but also in sandy to
