of Locality 286 (NE 73 in river act) Starting at top & measuring down. 1) 2.8 Thinly interbedded silty shale and vfg ss. Rather highly crossitic, pronounced bends top and bottom and about middle less regular bends + ripples or pods elsewhere, (About 2.0 above top is old river terrace deposit) 2) 14.4 Dark gray finely silt shale with thin vfg ss laminae, becomes more sandy in upper 2.0 with thm ss interbeds more common. Venosities scatt, in blobs, chiefly in upper part. Lower 5 feet the ss/silt is more thickly interbedded. About 2.5 from base unit 1 is persist. 12ydr (locally) of tabular brown ls cones with silt jackets and similar cones appear to be scatt. 1st in zone from 2.0 to 5.0 below the top of this (2) unit. And 11th, in this zone shows mixing 3) 6.9 Dark gray soapy finely shale lb with gray vfg ss up to 3/4 inch loc. some very fine lzm. + x lzm. At top is zone plenty to flint ovel. Lzon to gray scabbed barren ls, cones. 38
