Soil 12' Sand gray dirty, very soft; embedded limonite pellets; base weathers limonitic yellow, sand logs in some localities 12" Sand, yellow buff, dirty, soft; interbedded with dark grey to dark brownish grey slightly carbonaceous, flaky shale; some embedded hard S.S. nodules 4' Sand, yellow buff, laminated, crossbedded soft [illegible] some small sand logs 8" sand - yellow buff, very fine, soft, dirty interbedded with dark grey flaky (6) - shale; some thin lenses of hard light grey clay. 4 1/2' Sand clutts (shale comes in butterflys) (5) 1' Shale, dark grey, fissile, flaky.
