South of Thunder Butte it [illegible] is recognizable only by the pers. of the fauna in the foss. cones. in a sandy shale capped by cone-in-cone. Different facies around Bullhead The Tancredia-Halymerizes fauna Shell beds of Tancredia & Posidhopsus "Beach fauna". Oyster bed fauna replaces puremarine fauna. The pure marine fauna of the Eastern divides dwindles to the west and becomes more fragmented. (ammonites)
